Resolved Question: How do you survive retail on black friday? I work at toys "R" us. last black friday was my first black friday in a store and it was a nightmare. The store opened at 5 A.M so I had to get there at 4:30 and I left at 2. It was a nightmare but it went by fast. last year a at 4:30 there was already a line. As soon as the doors opened, the store was pack. I was half asleep doing 3 - 4 things at a time because people can't wait there turn. They ask me to get them something even though I could be in the middle of a sentence with someone else. this year toys"R" us opens at midnight and I work from 11:30 p.m. - 9:00 a.m. I'm kinda scared, people aren't sane. Is there some trick to deal with these insane people on black friday? Do you think working over night will help with the amount of people?

Resolved Question: Working on Black friday? Ok so I have been looking for a job frantically and I have had several interviews. But all of them have been pointless. I put on most of them that I wouldnt be able to work Black friday because I cant work fridays and I will be away. I understand that it is the busiest day of the Holiday season but if I can work every day in the holiday including christmas eve and the day after christmas, I don't see it being a big deal. So basically I dont know what to do. I want a job but does that mean to sacrifice my thanksgiving time to be with my family? Also I am a little scared to even work on Black Friday. Last year a Walmart greeter was fatally trampled, two men in a toys r us shot each other for toys and a pregnant woman was knocked down.......I really dont want to be a part of that.
Resolved Question: whats the craze with black friday? im gonna come out and say first of all, i dont know much about the deals, so i can only speak on what i do know. stores like best buy, circuit city, all those electronic stores...why do people line up for days to get the best deals? i noticed that theres only a very select amount of items on sale...and its not even that big of a price difference. you're buying a 1700 dollar hd tv, and its 300 dollars off. you serious? xbox 360s... tis the same price, except you get two cheesy ass games. i go to fred meyers (basically an everything-store. food, clothes, electronics, appliances, house stuff, gardending, toys) and i go to the electronic section... i see 10 percent off. 20 percent off. i mean im sure it helps at toys r us and stuff like that for the kids, but...i can find better deals on ebay, and craigslist. i just dont understand the craze.

I wasn't going to end up going this year because of how crazy last year was, but my sister talked me into to going with her to walmart and Toys R us. We found a lot of great deals! The Home Depot Power Sawhorse Workshop - $18 usually $35 Dollhouse Playhouse By: Little Tikes for $200 usually $300. My sister bought a bunch of High School Musical stuff for her daughter and a bunch of Nintendo DS things for her sons. We also bought a lot of other things and we saved so much money! Resolved Question: Anyone been to Toys R Us On Black Friday? I am going for my first black friday shopping trip this friday. I usually go after like lunch time cause I like to shop that day but was not into the crazy crowds and such. Now that my son is 3 he really understands Santa and I want to keep it that way! So 5am sounds like a great time to shop! lol :D while he and his daddy are sound asleep in their beds! There are some great deals on Toys R us for black friday. So I am thinking of getting there at 4:30am (1/2 hour before they open) and I know where all the items that I want are located in the store already - any other helpful tips - have YOU ever been to a Toys R Us on Black Friday? Resolved Question: Black Friday...worth it?? I was going to go shopping on Black Friday this year, but I'm not so sure now. Is it really worth it? I've heard it's only really great if you're looking for electronics, which I'm not. The only store I was going to hit up was Toys R Us (18 month old daughter) and Target, and I looked into the leaked Black Friday ad for Toys R Us and the sales were not that great at all. What do you think? What's the best deal you've gotten on Black Friday? Do you go every year? Oh yea- and the reason I put this in the parenting section is because I figure a lot of moms might go.

I am trying to decide which store I should spend all day at :) Any deals at Toys R Us, Best Buy, Meijer, Target, Kohls, Wal-Mart (ugh), K-Mart etc. When I worked at Toys R Us as a teen the managers received the sales ad at least a week b4 the big day.
