Resolved Question: Replacing hubcaps for 2010 Toyota Matrix? What happens was I drove to work one day, and some a-hole stole one of them, and I would like to replace it. I called the dealers, and they are charging $90 for one hubcap!! That is too much money for me. I know nothing about cars, so I am wondering if anyone knows if I could replace hubcaps on a 2010 Toyota Matrix with generics ones that I could purchase much cheaper from wal-mart or something. Voting Question: To buy or not to buy: Matrix 2006? I'm currently shopping for my first car (after much anticipation). And after some research, I decided to go for a used matrix, I've always driven Toyota and I'm quite comfortable in it. Long story short: I found this one owner lease return Matrix 2006 that is exacly what I'm looking. 51500km and the dealer is asking 13900$. He runs his own dealership but is a retired car dealer for Ford and buys a few cars that he knows will sell, (so no lemons I'm sure). Thing is, Is this really worth the money? People tell me that for a few extra bucks, I could go new. My question is: Really? This is the used car I've been longing for, a little pricey but still in my range. What do you think?
Voting Question: 2006 Toyota Matrix Check Engine Light on, I know the problem but toyota is giving me trouble, I need help? Ok so here is the deal, I recently (about 2 weeks ago) bought a used 2006 Toyota Matrix with about 76,000 miles on it. My check engine light went on recently and I took it back to the dealer I bought it from (a volkswagon dealer) they looked at it and found that it needs a new computer engine control which is covered under the Toyota Federal Emissions Warranty. However since its covered by them I need to get this work done at a Toyota dealer. So they sent me there. I went and was informed that they have an open appointment tomorrow at 7:30am. BUT the check engine light bus be on again in order for them to be able to detect the problem (they want to reinspect it) Now my question is.... since I have all of the paper work and print outs of the tech codes regarding whats wrong don't I have the right to tell them to just fix it or do they have to reinspect it because my check engine light hasn't gone on again and I need it fixed sooner than later. I should also mention that last fhursday I friday I had to go to the dealer...

Resolved Question: Used 2009 or 2010 Toyota Matrix or 2006 Camry? I have been driving a 1994 Camry since 2000. It got me through college and some of my adulthood, but now its starting to show its age. Has 145,000 miles, leather seats are worn/torn, AC is done, and paint is fading/chipped. I lived in a small town so the only places I went were work, school, and around town. I moved after college into a big city and to get places, sometimes I have to drive over 20 miles so its taken a wear on the car.I live in the South and having AC in your car is a must. Its only May and its already crazy hot and it will only get hotter. I even avoid going to places I really want to go because of my worry of the car. What I really want is a Toyota Venza, but I'm on a budget and so I have to get what I can at a good price and an affordable note. I am glad and thankful that the Camry lasted me so long, but it would be nice to ride in something more modern and looks good. I found a 2006 Camry at a good price that is affordable which has 56,000 miles on it. Camry's are known for being reliable...

Resolved Question: Why would a 2003 Toyota Matrix INCREASE gas Mileage? 2003 XR, manual 5 speed transmission, front wheel drive. Went from averaging 32 to 35 MPG to averaging 42 to 45 MPG. Not complaining, but curious how this might have happened or if it might be indicative of some underlying problem. The only change was where I was getting my gas, but I didn't change the octane level of the gas I was getting (87). This is a sudden increase as I check my mileage with every fill up. It jumped up after one fill.

Voting Question: Auto AC compressor does not engage when I press the AC button...? I have a 03 Toyota Matrix. My AC recently stopped working, which I thought was due to no more freon in the system. I took it to my mechanic and he told me that the compressor was not moving. He has said there was a lot of backup pressure before he attempted to recharged it. Since the compressor was not moving, obviously I was not getting any cold air. His boss came over to "override" the system. He basically used this tool to give power to that section and the compressor started working and I got cold air but that was only because they gave it power. For whatever reason, my compressor is not receiving power to spin and pass through the freon. Unfortunately when he was checking this out, they were getting ready to close. He asked me if I can leave the car but since I'm a full-time student, I needed my car. He didn't get the chance to fully inspect the issue, but does any of you out there know what it might be? Voting Question: Need advice on a car? So I just graduated University and will be a teacher as soon as I can get a job (which may be never....haha). I'm looking to buy my first car, and want it to be a hatchback. The ones I've been looking at so far are the Mazda3, Toyota Matrix, Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, VW Golf and I want to look at the Ford Fiesta that should be out later in the summer. Any suggestions on which one is the best and if I should go look at any others? Thanks!
