Open Question: Corolla S worth buying? I've had my heart set on a Toyota Corolla S for a couple years now. It's coming down to me having just enough money to put a down payment on a car. I've been reading reviews of people who have a Corolla S and complain about the same things as others do. What are your opinions on friends who have the vehicle or if you own the vehicle. I was looking at other vehicles but now Toyota is talking about putting the new "Safety System" AKA STAR System, so I don't know what I should do. I'm 20 and want a dependable car that is a four door sedan and has a little flair/style to it. Thank you for your help. =]

Voting Question: What cars (under 6k ) look sporty and are fun to drive ? Hello ppl :) I m looking for another used car, and I dont know which 1 is the best to buy :| My budget is tight < 6k :D , but I want reliability, cheap to fair maintenace cost, sporty look and the most importance: Max power and highest MPG possible . Celica GTS gets good MPG, good looking + reability, but I doubt that the 2zzge is slow and perform like the 1zzge (regular corolla or Celica GT) at low RPM, when Lift doesnt kick in. DC5 RSX S gets good MPG, reliability, parts availability, but the look is not too modern and is hard to find a good one for < 6k lol 03+ Tiburon gets very good review on K.Blue book, look wonderful, fair MPG, but I doubt about reliability + parts available (rareness) + 2.5 V6 170hp but it s not fast Mazdaspeed Protege has stock turbo, light, look fun to drive, however it looks old + cheap interior, and I doubt about reliability because it may have an Ford engine. Subaru WRX, very fast, 4 doors roomy 4wd, cool car, but maintenance cost is higher than Toy or Honda I guess ? MPG is not high....

Resolved Question: Which SUV should I get? Alright, Listen up. I am wanting to get a 6CYL SUV for me and my family to be the vehicle we take as a whole family to go places and for long trips as well. This SUV is going to need a sleek, yet big enough size for my family and myself. And also a good amount of cargo space for luggage, but again, i don't want a bulky vehicle. This vehicle won't be an everyday vehicle, again, just for trips and occasions. Resolved Question: reliability: corolla, civic, sentra, lancer? I want to buy a new car, and the class I want would be the civic/corolla/sentra etc. How do these cars compare in terms of reliability. I know that the Civic and Corolla are the champions in terms of reputation in reliability. But how do the Sentra and the Lancer compare to Civic and Corolla? Is the difference in reliability/longevity really great, or are they almost comparable (even if the Civic and Corolla have the edge). I really want a Sentra, but whenever I read reviews, the reviewer always ends the article by saying "you might be better off with a civic or corolla." Will the Sentra last a long time? I am not the type to change cars every couple of years, so I need one that won't be problematic even after 10 years. My Toyota Echo is 10 years old, and it still runs great. Will the Sentra last as long as my Echo has so far?

Or that the Ford F-Series pickup truck is the best selling vehicle in the world at this moment. Think about it. Volkswagen Beetle, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Ford F-Series, etc. These are all pretty poor cars, and yet they've been some of the biggest sellers the world has ever seen. Take the Camry for example. It costs more than its competitors while handling worse, being smaller, being heavier, being uglier, slower, and less comfortable. In fact, in a recent comparison test among its competitors, the Camry finished 5th out of 6th. It seems to appeal on no levels at all, yet it's the best selling car in the USA today. Toyota Corolla is much the same story. The original ones through the ones of the 90s were very boring and average, and today the one sold in America finishes dead last among consumer tests (excluding reliability) and car review comparison tests. We have a small car (95 Toyota Corolla) and have read some reviews that some car seats may not fit well in our car. I'd like to know, do stores let you test the car seat before you buy it? If so, which stores? Also, would you suggest to first buy a car seat that we like, and get a professional opinion on it (like from a car seat tech), and if its not feasible, just return it?
