High school GPA = 3.4 (I went to a magnet high school so that caused it) College GPA = 4.0 (after my 1st year), currently I am a second year student SAT score = 2170 (would retake if necessary) Type of college = ranked as "tier 4" by US news and report but has a good reputation in the state but it is a commute university, cost my family and I little to no money at all and I basically have a full ride, plan was to spend two years here and then transfer elsewhere and that isn't changing. Extra curricular activities = - 120 volunteer hours for the red cross - 60 volunteer hours for the Family Y - Internship at the local sports medicine clinic - Winner in a school wide essay contest - Intramural soccer if that means anything at all - member of the Chemistry club - Alternative spring break program where I helped tutor kids I know Yale, MIT and the top 10 universities are out of reach, but would it be possible for me to get into a top 30 university?

Open Question: Short of declaring martial law; how would solve the problem of (gang) violence in Chicago, LA, etc.? I firmly believe that the root cause of violence in our society is a breakdown of the family; thus community. The generational transmission of social values is not occuring. Children are not being properly socialized. They are not taught self-control, self-respect, respect for others, observance of rules, regard for authority, etc. Poverty does not justify lawlessness! Open Question: Is getting a C in a class going to affect my GPA? I'm a freshman at a community college, and I got a C for a summer course (Psych 1). Will this affect my chances to go to the top state universities in the state? I live in California, and I want to transfer to UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, or UC Santa Barbara. Open Question: Are Mall car giveaway's/sweepstakes real? Here in Socal we have several Malls all around and everyone of them seem to have a car giveaway sweepstake. The car is always parked inside the mall w/ tons of sweepstake entry forms. The malls I recently visited had a Cadillac suv and a coupe. The other had a Benz. We were insured, All State denied our claim! This std later turned out to be PPP wchich is basically found in 30% and has nothing to do with sex. The bad part is that i was hiding this from my parents so i went through huge depression. Open Question: so chelsea only named 4 players for the "homegrown" quota, what does that mean exactly? i dunno about you, but these new homegrown rules confuse the hell out of me. i saw in the news that liverpool named 21 out of 25, and that chelsea only named 4 of theirs. are the changes in rules about homegrown players only for players which are eligible for playing or for team building rules? does chelsea have to play with 2/3rds of their top starting XI on the bench and the junior reserve team members up front? wtf? :D
