Open Question: Odd car battery problems....? I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R and over the past year or more ive had lots off odd battery issues with it. First off the connectors corrode an aweful lot, every other week or so i have to use baking soda/battery cleaner on the connectors to clean off all of the corrosion, along with that I had tons of trouble starting my car, at most a full 10 seconds of cranking/turning before fully starting... Just about 3 weeks ago i changed the stock battery with a brand new one and im already starting to see corrosion (not as bad, thankfully) and more starting issues! Now the battery wont start the car at all sometimes, as if it totally dead! Thats about it, someone plz help!!!! easy 5 star best answer!!!!!!!! Open Question: My low beams don't work but high beams do? I recently purchased a set of HIDs for my nissan Sentra (2008). I will get very detailed The regular bulbs were working fine today until the sales guy installed my HIDs but we took them out because we did not have time to mount them. When we tried them it both turned out just good! So the HID bulb has 3 wires one for the low beam, high beam and then theres a ground wire. I attached them to each hole of the cars original light bulb adapter. Now the high beams works just fine but the low beam does not work. Now for the other side the low beam was working and the high beam, but now the low beam does not work at all. So right now i am able to put on the high beams just fine but not the low beam. What can it be: HID bulbs Ballast Fuses (not sure just guessing) Someone please help =( Also the bulb size is H13-2

I have been noticing this for a few weeks on occasion but now it is worse. I turned the car back on later and it was worse. My son thinks it has something to do with the carburetor. Open Question: How much to fix timing belt? Recently my car has been making a clunking kind of sound in relation to the RPMs. I drive an Nissan Sentra SE-R, so the engine is actually an Altima's (QR25DE) and i've had two mechanics take a brief look at my car. One told me it was the top camshaft that might be messed up, but he's only a mechanic that works on little things like brakes and oil changes but he's one we can trust. We then went to another place that's new to us and the mechanic told us that it was actually the timing chain that was making the noise. He said he get's the problem all the time with Altima's and it's more in his nature to do these bigger jobs in comparison to my mechanic, so he sounds more convincing on that part. However, he said that it'd be about a 12-16 hour job and the total cost with parts and labor would be about 600-800$. I have yet to get a second opinion on the price so that's why im here to ask if that's a legitimate price for what is wrong with the car? However he did say the parts by itself would be around $200 and i've...

Temperature gauge consistently went up to a maximum of a little below half way. After driving for about 25 minutes in a light/medium rain, then sitting with the car running for about 10 minutes (about 80 degrees outside) - the temperature gauge started to rise above halfway. I then started driving again and turned on the heat and the gauge went down. It never went above 5/8th high, but this never happened before. The next morning I checked the reservoir coolant level and it was at the minimum line. I filled it with 50/50 mix and the car ran fine and the same all day. What should I have looked at to prevent any major future repairs? Please help.
