What a beautiful day it was...quiet, gentle, and simple. Even though Louise passed away 25 years ago, her spirit is very much alive, especially here in Rochester.

A peaceful, beautifully gray day to visit. As I paid my respects, I noticed an older gentleman weaving back and forth, and I sensed that he had been searching for Louise's grave. I went up to him when I had a free moment and directed him to the right place. He was a well-versed classic film fan from Kansas City, en route to a silent film festival in Rome, NY. We exchanged kind thoughts about Louise, and I suggested that he visit the Eastman House if he had the time.

I started another drawing of Louise recently, but now I'm stuck...I'll probably be playing around with abstractions in my studies, but a full-on portrait wouldn't be so bad if it turned out properly. It seems that I'll have to do some "chicken scratches" on scrap paper before I can commit in full.
