Resolved Question: 2004 Kia Rio, is it worth it? So I'm planning to buy a 2004 Kia Rio. The brakes, oil, and tires have been changed and the miles come out to about 55,000. The dealer is asking for 6,000. Is that reasonable and is it worth it?

Voting Question: My car is having problems accelerating and starting.!!!? I have a Kia Rio, and for weeks it has had problems accelerating. When I press on the gas it takes a few seconds to get up and go. Also yesterday and today i have had problems with it starting. When i turn the key nothing but a click sound. It doesn't even turn over at all. I can eventually get it to start when i try about 5 times. I don't know what it is but its definitely not the safest car to drive right now. Please help me.!
Voting Question: 2004 kia rio shakes with no power when accelerating from a stop.? it runs great when its going 10km/h or over but as soon as you stop it doesn't want to get going again, when accelerating it shakes then takes off after a second... when you stop and shut off the car for over 5 minutes i runs perfect with no problems then after a bit starts to do it again, what could this be? transmission fluid is ok as well
Voting Question: car makes grinding noise on sharp turns? Hi there. I have recently noticed that when making sharp turns in my car, I can hear what sounds like a slight grinding noise coming from the front end. It makes the noise on both left and right turns, and when in drive and reverse. I have only noticed the sound when turning slowly. I drive a 2005 Kia Rio, standard transmission, 55 000 km. Anyone come across the same problem with their car?
Resolved Question: Which car should I choose?!? I am stuck between a 2000 Mercury Cougar V6 for $3550 with 85k Miles or a 2002 Kia Rio for $4500 with 14k Miles on it. Look wise there is no comparison hands down I love the Cougar, but everyone is trying to talk me into the Rio.. any help?!

Resolved Question: What is the best colour for a car? I am buying a new Kia Rio 2010 model. It is the first time I have bought a new car. Unfortunately it will be in all kinds of weather as I do not have a garage. I want to get the Clear Silver (quite light). There is also Titanium Silver (quite dark) or Tropical Red (nice but I think impractical). What do others think? Thanks for your advice.
Voting Question: explain tdc on a dohc? sorry I posted this earlier...it is a dohc on a kia rio 4 cyclinder. I think I do have the timing right ..cams line up with their markings..crankshaft lines up with it's marks..the crankshaft pully is keyed and can only fit on one way.. My question is this...so I put on the timing belt then someone tells me that I need to have the engine on TDC...that step is like a page previous in the haynes manuel??? So I turned the crank /pully to meet up with the mark on the metal "ruler'..before i put on the drive belt. (I only turned the crank like a quarter of an inch tops to match the marks on the ruler) is this wrong?

Resolved Question: why is it buzzing/hear a buzzing at the firewall of car? Hi, Had a timing belt teeth rip off on me ( kia rio 04). I put a new timing belt on..car still won't start up. I noticed when I turn on the electrical I hear a buzzing. At first I thought it was the fuel pump coming on. On further inspection the buzzing was coming from the firewall?? I got under the car and it appears the buzzing is coming from the crankshaft positioner sensor. Why would this be buzzing and what does it mean...the car won't turn over when I crank it...
