Open Question: opinion on cars for 16 year old? I just turned 16, and would like to get a used car soon. i've saved up some money, and my parents are helping me out too. i have about 17k and was thinking of these cars, what are your opinions? and i don't wanna hear i should get a crappy 500$ car or that i'm spoiled please. 2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe 2010 Mazda3 2008 Honda Accord Coupe (not the V6) 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan (automatic though) 2010 Kia Forte Koup all these cars would be used, not new, and who knows if i could even find one in my price range. whats your opinion on all these for a guy in highschool? WRX isn't likely at all, just an idea, my parents are pretty over protective. some of my gas is covered by my parents, and my car will be in their name to make it cheap.

Resolved Question: What is your opinion of the new KIA FORTE? This car looks hot! 4 door or 2 door Koup, this car looks like a winner. It is thousands less than the competition, has a MUCH longer warranty, 5 years 60,000 miles bumper to bumper, and comes with much more standard equipment (blue tooth, sirius radio, etc) AND has more standard horsepower than anything in its class. The EX with gas mileage package gets 37mpg highway.....I am very impressed! Honda and Toyota has had many problems/recalls in recent years...sludge buildup in the V-6 engines, recalls for Honda...and Hyundai and Kia keep winning quality awards J.D Power and associates and many more. I dont think the old stereotypes apply anymore. Jap isnt always better. Even Car and driver and Motor trend are admitting there is little quality difference. Time to rethink perhaps? FYI: the 2009 compact car that received the highest rating for quality, 5 stars in every category, is the Korean made Hyudai Elantra, from JD Power and Associates. It beat out Honda, Toyota, Mazda, etc....Time to not rely on old stereotypes...
