Here's what I have:Hello I’m Billie Holiday, but my nickname is Lady Day, and I’m a big jazz singer from the 30s! My name Eleanora but I changed it to Billie after an actress, Billie Dove. I was born April 7, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland. My songs are about how people are racist to African Americans and I try to open people’s eyes up with the songs I write, like Strange Fruit. I started singing in jazz clubs and after that, my career really took off. Unfortunately, I was arrested in 1947 for possession of drugs. When I got out of prison, my manager thought it would be a good idea for me to have a comeback concert which was a success. The early and middle 50s were tough for me. I drank, did drugs, and married abusive men. :I'm not sure how to end it or what to add. We have to memorize it too. Also, what should I wear (we have to dress up)? Thank you so much!

But I can only think of one high profile, world-class talented gay athlete: Greg Louganis. And Louganis did not "come out" until well after his diving career had ended; Navratilova, King, and Swoopes were all still active professional athletes at the time. I do not pretend that gay athletes in men's sports are rarer than lesbian athletes in women's sport. But I do wonder if openly gay athletes in men's sports are rarer than openly lesbian athletes in women's sports. Does this reflect discrimination that gays experience that lesbians do not, athletes or otherwise? Is a female athlete already seen as somehow less "feminine" or "womanly", and so it is not as much a stretch to come out as lesbian?
