Firstly I must say my all time heroine of the screen is Bette Davis,she's not your classic beauty but her screen presence for me was spellbinding. I suppose a classic beauty in my book would be Rita Hayworth or maybe Ava Gardner. But my one and only hero of the movies had to be Gregory Peck. I loved all of his films and have since watched them over and over. So how about you anyone float your boat? @ Me Thanks for the compliment.

Resolved Question: Why were women so much more pretty in the 1940s and 50s? Seriously, Veronica Lake, Ava Gardner, Grace Kelly Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn...the list goes on. So many women of that time were stunningly beautiful. Not just celebrities either, but I've seen plenty of photos of my grandmother and her friends and family from the 40s/50s and they all had clear skin, perfect hair, tiny waists, feminine faces and were skinny. Even without photoshop and plastic surgery. Why were they so pretty?
